Good afternoon folks!
My brother flew YUL-YYZ-MSY on 26-Dec.
His checked luggage never made it to MSY.
Upon arrival in MSY, no AC rep was available / present to process a lost bag claim.
He's gone back to MSY today and was told to call the baggage line and report it there.
Tried to call that line, 1-888-689-2247 but cannot get through.
AC's general contact line is suggesting hold times of up to 4 hours.
My brother doesn't have any status with the airline so no elite numbers to call.
So far he has opened a lost baggage claim with Amex (Gold Rewards Card), but obviously would prefer to actually get the bag with his things!
Does anyone have any ideas? Suggestions?
I fear his only option may be to sit on hold.
The system has melted down. Just do a search for "Toronto Pearson and luggage" and you'll get a sense of how bad it is.

I can't offer much more than that. Sitting on hold is probably the only option, as well as documenting EVERYTHING.
