I would have thought boosting SIN and restarting KUL and working with MH to do some regional codeshares would towards the top of the list. BKK was clearly seen by BA more as a bucket and spade route and historically not a big earner although the price competition is not quite as agressive at the moment.

Northern Asia routes have their own unique challenges because of the additional operational expense of needing to avoid Russian airspace. I don't know enough about how the BA JAL joint venture would work out financially if BA continue to let JAL take the operational lead.
