So here is my report. The hotel is nice, beautiful outdoor pool (not for this season), we were upgraded to a nicer room with balcony from a superior room (AmEx Platinum Fine Hotels program), got free good breakfast buffet, 4 PM checkout that we used, and a EUR 100 food voucher partially used at the Harrys bar.

it is a 5-10 minute walk to the train station, 15-20 minutes walk to the city center, easy.

Everything was fine with good friendly staff but it is an old tired property in a sketchy neighborhood with lots of poor immigrants roaming the streets between the train station and the hotel. It was not unsafe just unpleasant. We actually saw a theft attempt, but near the Duomo, not near the hotel.

We did not dine at the restaurant which did not look great at all.,we went to Borgo San Jacopo, we paid a fortune but it was Christmas eve and it was delicious.

We paid $800 for two nights, minus the $200 hotel credit so no complaint, the other nice places were a lot more expensive.
