I tried to do that over the summer and was not able to. I wanted to extend my stay and pay with the FNC and cash. She said that could not be done and I would have to book them as two separate nights. I am not sure if I just got a CSR who did not know what they were doing or not, but in the end my plans changed. I was able to use the FNC for the one night I originally booked.
