Any recent Lufthansa baggage loss&recovery stories/tips?
Lufthansa lost our baggage on our 12/18 flight and to date, we’ve received no communication whatsoever from Lufthansa.
There is no LH number to call to find out what’s going on, and the LH online delayed baggage tracking website has proven to be unreliable and generally useless. In Portugal, we were directed to the local Groundforce handler but now that we are past 5 days, Groundforce is redirecting us back to LH (“Lufthansa now has your file and only they can provide update”), however there is no LH phone number I’ve been able to locate and LH lurker has been of no help.
I know ours is not an isolated case. According to reports, there are 20K+ undelivered bags at FRA and a similar number at MUC. So some FTers may have run into similar situations. If you have tips (numbers to call or other ways to contact LH), or can share details of how long it took for LH to locate your lost baggage, or anything else that may be helpful, please share.
