Honestly as someone whos worked in the contact centres many years I remember the issues with people booking separate tickets before this rule change. To me it 100% makes sense and thats given that I only saw this from one part of the contact cente side, not airports.

but then most FTers are experienced and dare I say don’t mind having delayed bag or 2. It happens 3-4 times a year to me but primarily because I do some crazy itineraries and always keep necessities with me. I do PIR often and am very clear I don’t mind when in turns up as long as it eventually does ;-)
