Complication with BA172 was that we had pushed back (late) but then had a medical emergency on board. We therefore had to return to the gate and due to staff being out of hours, the flight was then cancelled.
So BA may try to argue that the reason the flight had to be cancelled was due to the medical emergency rather than the flight plan system issues.
