It is a bit of an odd layout with both flights appearing on the Flight Status page. I've found myself accidentally selecting wrong direction a couple times and being alarmed that my assigned seat was showing available and/or I wasn't appearing on the waitlist.
More subtly, their API (/statusbff) that powers the status page has a nasty habit of switching the waitlist and F avail info between the two flights, making it even more difficult to figure out what's going on.
