Indigo Düsseldorf Victoriaplatz

What is your Priority Club status?
Ambassador Diamond

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
In general yes.

Booked the hotel on points for two nights on a short notice using points for a standard room. Received a Premium room on the fifth floor with a small (kind of) French balcony.

Check In on a Sunday afternoon was quick, I chose the points, which did not post. As the hotels did not charge one beverage, I do not push it further.

A small fitness center is available in the basement, in summer I recommend during your jogging runs along river Rhine (which is easy to reach)

Check out was quick at 05:30 in the morning.

The restaurant is not open and still closed. Breakfast is served, but I had to skip it, as I had to be in my office before at 06:30 and breakfast is only served starting at 06:30.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Standard and received a Premium room. There is to my understanding no higher room category.

How are the rooms?
The hotel is not very old but begin to show a bit of wear. But in general, the rooms are in a good condition and very modern and stylish.

My room was located on the fifth floor with large window facing the back of the hotel and thus quiet.

If you enter the room, there are some hangers and the keycard-controlled power switch for the room. A/C is for cooling, the hotel has a central heating below the windows. Only the door to the small French balcony could be opened though.

On the one side of the hallway is the small bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. Nice tough the heated floor. Towels were provided for two persons; a bathrobe is in the closet in the room. Shampoo and Bath-Gel are from wall mounted dispensers. A small radio is also available in the bathroom. Water pressure of the shower was okay. The open concept shower meant that you could not avoid water dripping on the floor.

In general quite small, but enough space to store your belongings.

The room had a small desk in one corner and two armchairs with a small table.

The desk also had a lamp; sockets were at the luggage storage area, which was okay, if the cable of your charging device is long enough. A closet was also in this part of the room.

A large flat TV was facing the bed but could be turned towards the armchair. This area also featured as divider between entrance and bed. Below the TV was with minibar and storage space. A Nespresso-machine was available as well.

Mattress was okay. Quite firm which I like

Windows blinds which really could darken the room.

I paid 21.000 points per night.

How is the exec. lounge?
N/A

What was good and what was bad?
Good
Rooms are of good size with real desk
Good connection to public transport
Many sockets, but lack of USB ports at desk
Staff is friendly and helpful

Neutral
Small gym in basement

Bad
Restaurant not open, but different kind of beverages are available

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
The location is good. The rooms are of a good size and have a real desk. The bathroom is small, but space is used quite good. Floor heating is a nice touch.

Already have had a couple of stays prior to this one.
