BA113 LHR to JFK was great thanks to the very friendly crew, but we were a bus gate (UGH) and catering was still being loaded when we boarded so the crew were having trouble getting organized.

it is weird to see everyone with the turkey dinner being plated in a different way each time it seems. otherwise, i was not afforded a prawn cocktail as there are four GGLs in the cabin (4/5) but she later came to say there is another one available. but i figured it out that she took the two catered and divided the 6 shrimp to be 2 x 3 plates. it was laughably small and when i asked she admitted this was what she did--i thought it was rather kind of her to make the effort and it was fine.

oddly, most of the chilled options tasted like they had gone off. the salmon canape was overly fishy (shrimp were ok), and the chicken ceasar pre-landing also had chilled chicken that tasted funky. not good. aside from this the rest was pretty good to excellent (soup, yule log).

the salmon was overly fishy

funny small plated appetizer

tomato coriander soup--excellent and not really any coriander.

turkey dinner, lovely

cheese plate

yule log i did not order but came anyway

pre landing caesar salad--chicken was awful, could not eat

veggie quiche, quite nice

holiday berry bread pudding, very good too
