Coming back to my experience.

At KIX, the Yamato location didn't really speak English but offered to use the phone translation app.

I was able to fill in the details, but it didn't seem like they charged me extra for storage (14 calendar days). I was able to get my luggage without any more fees.

(i chose to pickup at a taqbin center in Tokyo near my hotel, saved 60 yen lol. Felt safer to fill in the taqbin center code and pickup, versus having it delivered to hotel after a 2 week delay)

Funny how electronic rate (pasmo/suica) is typically only 1-5 yen discounted from cash...really not much difference
