Irrelevant according to whom? If there was a ticketing snafu that resulted in someone being removed from a flight yesterday that ended up being canceled due to weather, do you really think some court is going to award damages based on a hypothetical flight that never actually flew? Makes no sense.
AA didn't rebook them onto a flight that arrived at the same time, even though there were plausible options on partner airlines. They rebooked them onto a flight that leaves much later, leaving them with no ability to make their prepaid plans.
