just stayed a few days on a random side trip before flying to the US.

got an ambassador upgrade to a "water view room" on floor 1. it was one of the rooms looking on to the canal in the back and facing a low set of row housing. nothing special but also do not expect that in this location! but the room was silent.

the room was very spacious and judging from the diagram on the door, maybe 30% larger than the room next door. everything else has been covered above so i have nothing more to add.

i did have breakfast one day which was 15EUR which i found overpriced for the spread which included no hot options. well they can do custom egg orders but did not learn this until the end. all in all it is a very straightforward hotel like any AC but the location is superb for ease of arriving by train (an managing that damn bridge) and departing on the bus to the airport from the front door of the hotel. if there alone again i would stay here without question for the overall value and location.
