Service started with an open bar PDB choice. I went with sparkling water. I'll never get over the plastic 'glasses', which even feature in Flagship First internationally! That being said, any PDB is better than none, which is what you'd get on a similar BA flight.



Bar service (a G&T in my case) with warm nuts was served shortly after takeoff.



I had pre-ordered the chicken salad which was a mess of low quality crunchiness, made only slightly better by drizzling the dressing over everything. The side salad of two lettuce leaves may as well not have been there.



The chocolate cake dessert was similarly weak, and I was disappointed that there were no herbal teas available; I made do with a 'regular' tea, which had the consistency of dishwater.



Whilst the meal was meh, the service was proactive.
