“Waiting for passengers to arrive and/or wasted time trying to find meeting point” at SFO can easily exceed ten minutes for some of us; and also it is less to some people’s liking to wait at the airport (or have some wait at the airport) than having it done off-site and at or closer to nearby hotels.
