Passengers will not be moved for staff on staff travel. If staff end up in the seat it’ll be because they were told the seat is inop in some way (no recline, no IFE etc) and have accepted that, in rare occasions I imagine they manage to fix the seat before the flight which makes the moving of pax unnecessary but I can’t imagine that happens much.
Unless staff are holding a confirmed ticket they won’t even have a seat assigned until after the flight has closed.
Actually, and ironically, on that ANU flight my IFE didn’t work and they offered to move me BACK to the seat where the staff traveller had been assigned (I was told he could be moved

to accommodate me). Obviously I declined.
