The next data will be on the 5th January as covid is having a break for Christmas. Weekly data:

England cases 7,350 (6,191 last Monday) - up 28.8% week on week
England deaths up 1.6% week on week
Patients admitted in England 1,296 (965 on the 12th)
Patients in hospital in England 8,643 (6,171 on the 14th)
Patients in ventilation beds 174 (150 on the 14th)
Autumn booster total by 18th December: 14,900,887/64.0% of those aged 50+

By the start of this month BA.5 accounted for 17.1% of cases, BQ.1 59.6%, BA2.75 16.6% BA.2 0.5% and others 6.2%.
