The flight to SCL is the last long-haul of the day anyway, so maybe come again 1 - 2 hours later in this case, should capacity really be the problem?
That part is actually unclear to me. I asked my friends again and they said that they got denied entry and the (pretty rude) guy at the entrance also mentioned that the lounge was full. My friends don't travel that much and we're pretty tired already due to jet lag so they did not push for entrance and went to the MLL instead. I asked if signature suite was showing up on their BPs which were printed in YYZ but that part is also unclear.
Anyway, we should be flying those exact same flights next week and will report our experiences here, i am ready to push for entry as i am aware of the rules and our ticket is fully eligible 😃
Posting these here, since all access questions get deleted in the Signature Suite thread.
My fare basis code was: PNCDX7NL
(maybe we should start a new thread for these issues)
Same here, perfectly legit Lufthansa Fare between AMS and SCL. Booked last may together with my friends (actually found this fare for my friends first and we decided to book it for us a couple weeks later !) Multiple routings allowed including using TATL JV partners UA and AC, and the air Canada option was the only good one (i.e not LH operated) showing up when we booked. The fare was still alive a few months ago, but for some reason it was not possible to book AC anymore (but options were still available on UA and also LH LX 4Y with connections with CM, LA or AV. A fellow Flyer Talker pmarrsouth tried to have it booked using AC metal, even using a travel agent but did not manage anymore as AC removed the booking classes list from the fare table (or something like this, cannot find the error anymore). The "trick" was to get the transatlantic segments booked as a LH of LX codeshare (even if AC operated), the Pan-American segments were booked as AC marketed as operated, most often in P or Z RBD. Due to the cancellation by AC a few months ago of the AC92 YYZ-SCL Monday evening flight, we got rebooked to the Tuesday flight (my friends got remained in P, while we got rebooked from Z to C), leaving all of us with a 36 hr connection in YYZ instead of 8 hours.
