I am the author of Post #67. Although I am four month's late, I am reporting back on my transfer at OSL on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. SAS allotted me 55 minutes for the transfer.
The BGO-OSL flight arrived on time. When I disembarked, I learned that I was at the far end of the domestic arrivals area. The OSL-EWR flight was departing from the far end of the international departures area. It was a long walk from one end to the other. There was also a passport check line.
By the time I arrived at the location to board the international flight, it was less than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Fortunately, boarding was delayed on that flight to EWR, and there was still a long line of passengers. The process was delayed further as passengers were sent to a desk to have their ticket endorsed. That endorsement required passengers to verify that they had packed their own baggage and that the baggage had not been out of sight before being turned over to the baggage handlers.
Could I (should I) have obtained that endorsement during the boarding process at BGO, or was the endorsement available only at OSL?
As all of you assured me, I was able to make my connecting flight. However, it was far from the stress-free experience that was promised to me.
Thank you for your guidance.
