SFO traffic congestion -- strategies to deal with it when picking up/dropping off

As with Thanksgiving, it's the time of year when there can be a very long, barely-moving line of traffic heading into SFO from the US-101 freeway. The lion's share of this traffic is destined for the arrivals (lower) level of the domestic terminals. I thought I'd start a thread for sharing ideas on workarounds.

I'll start with my favorite: Go to the International Terminal (right lane on the 101-South exit). That usually has no backup at all. You can loop around at the International terminal and follow the "return to terminal" signs. That will get you much closer in to the domestic terminals. Even better would be if the person you're dropping off or picking up has the mobility to meet you at International or be dropped off there.

Any other ideas, friends?
