Some airlines like you to get permission to take photos in advance for blogs etc, so it might be good to ask first, though I think a few general photos are unlikely to be a problem. I have shown up a few times 6 hours early to a lounge (late flight, couldn't get late check out in hotel, just as good a place as any to get some work done) and not had a problem. It wasn't Cathay it was United though.
