Yes, exactly - think original routing as something like FRA-MAD-MEX (FRA-MAD on YW coded as IB) and replacing it by FRA-LHR-MEX (where FRA-MAD is not actually cancelled but you worry it might be). I presume call IB to make the change then (booked directly on IB website)
If it's a BA ticket then you call BA, they have a Customer Guideline, issued 2 days ago, but that is the sort of thing that seems to be in scope so long as it's a connecting flight. If Iberia ticketed then I suspect they will change dates but not routing. They say that they have flex'd all the relevant bookings so that it should be self serve.
