Two main problems:
- Prior to boarding there have already been two swaps of aircraft to find one air-ready for this flight. That's a bit scary!
- Due to the swaps of aircraft, we now have the wrong cargo on board. Now all cargo needs to be unloaded, moved to the correct aircraft and then reloaded.
As a side point, I have seen some interesting comparisons between the way UA works and BA works. E.g. pre-boarding groups clearly defined and transparent on the gate screens, boarding groups in separate queues which can form ahead of being called. I've had more interaction with this UA captain in 3 hours than I have had with all BA captains that have flown me in 10 years. Worthy of a separate thread, so not suggesting we distract this one. But it's been an interesting experience so far.
Unfortunately UA not in scope for UK261is it? Shame...
UA would not qualify traveling US-Europe. Other way around!
