I obviously picked the wrong forum to vent, as I apparently do not qualify as a casual traveler that is unhappy about my ignorance of BA (and other European carriers) seat policy. I will avoid BA in the future, knowing that it's offensive to ever question their published fares as being on an equal basis as others. I was aware of business class on Icelandic not including lay-flat seats, and Condor leasing aircraft that may not be totally up to the standards of others, so this is just one more lesson. I actually intended to warn others of this policy, as I don't lurk on forums just to ..... and condescend. My apologies to those to have been offended by my ignorance, and my thanks to those who have expressed empathy as having learned a similar lesson.
