Well, far from this being a complaint, the mystery deepens, for me anyway. After being an RA for over 15yrs, and experiencing being downgraded in that time, whilst actively "chasing" the status by loading as many IC stays as I could, this year I've been spending most of my revenue stays at ACCOR hotels and decided to burn most of my IHG Rewards points on award stays at ICs. I'm currently at 51 IHG nights of which only 12 were revenue ones at ICs, with just under 120k EQP. So imagine my astonishment when I logged in to see my RA Renewal....granted the vast majority of my IC stay were at higher room types and rates. This is the one time I'd actively given up on re-qualification and just decided to maximise award stays, so I really have given up trying to figure out the re-qualification algorithm. Even stranger, I've been awarded 2 complimentary weekend night redemptions, granted 1 expires on the 31st of this month!
