SPG.com and phone reservations are NEVER the same. I called a few times about booking a hotel in Chicago a couple days after Christmas because the website would not get past the final portion of booking. After you choose the rate, and it shows all of your info, it would not get past the last stage. It showed many rooms at varying rates. When I called, on both the Sheraton and Westin, City Center, both were "totally booked."
