I recently changed the return portion of a latitude flight YVR-LHR from November 2022 to June 2023 with no problem (by calling in as it was on a companion pass as well as having been upgraded). there was no cost because the new date was less expensive than originally booked. I guess I could have outright cancelled to save the fare difference, but was concerned about losing the confirmed outbound upgrades.
