I have recently acquired BA Gold and would like to attain a status match with Virgin, so I can use less Virgin points on the 241 voucher when booking UC.

I see I need a revenue flight to do this. Has anyone any advice on the cheapest route I could take. I live in NI but I can be flexible with departure airport and destinations.
