Just submitted a claim. Originally booked for JFK>LHR>ABZ on BA182 & BA1308 (leaving dec 16th, arriving dec 17th). BA1308 was cancelled, so they removed us from BA182. This cancellation occurred 22hrs before the departure time, no reason given. This is certainly not a weather issue, the weather was calm. Expert Flyer free trial doesn't show any reason code for BA1308 cancellation.
We were rebooked on AA100 & BA1322, but leaving Dec 17th and arriving Dec 18th. Lost a whole day. BA had no other available flights for us when we called, made literally no effort to get us even to LHR on our originally booked day.
Either way, claim submitted for me & the better half. We should be due 2x520 GBP compensation. Given these were reward bookings, can't really complain. Hope BA don't make up some reason to decline our claim... I can't see how this cancelation isn't within their control given BA1308 was cancelled 22hrs before it was due to depart.
