You have travel insurance? Normally you travel insurance will cover situations like this, however, with a maximum amount probably a lot less then EUR 1,500 unless you took out special coverage.
I have no need for two of the same ski jackets. That is the argument I will try and will report back… likely in 6 months. I did try toe save them money by shopping at an outlet off the ski hill 🤣
I do have insurance with the credit card up to $1,000 CAD - which might make me whole.

The liability limit is as of current rate about 1600 EUR per person. I don't know if LH will pay voluntarily but I believe they could be compelled to by a court.
I have no issues going through the court system, if I’m not whole.
