Will they upgrade people from Y or PY to let standby Y pax? Even if the 2 pax clear to J, what happens to the 6 empty J seats? Do elites onboard get an op-up so the standby's make the flight? Very curious about this case.
It could be overbooked by a lot in the back. Or they could have other cancellations and have zeroed it out for sale.
In big IRROPS, they might opup people in order to clear standbys, but as a general practice, they will not.
