continuning my saga, I get to RDU and try to check in on the kisok and the message says check with the agent, the agent types some info. into the computer and picks up the telephone and make a call and asks to see my ID (NC drivers license). As she talks to the person on the phone she asks to see my ID 2 more times. She indicates that my name is coming up as a security "issue", after about 5 minutes she prints out a boarding pass. OK, so there are many people with my last name (Smith)

I get to DTW and I am waiting on my flight and I hear, "will ***** Smith come to the podium. The woman asks if I had a hard time checking in at RDU and I explain the situation to her, she asks for my ID and picks up the phone. She talks with some guy for a while and issues me a new boarding pass. So I ask whats is going on and she says, "all I can tell you is that your name is on a list", and I ask, "what list" and she says, "I can't tell you". I ask, "am I going to go through this on Sunday when I travel home?" and she says, "I hope not" When I asked who I should talk to at NW to get this resolved she said, this isn't NW, it's the federal government and she was talking to the FAA. So now I'm nervious

Luckily I was able to check in on the NW web site for Sunday, but ... is going on?? Has anyone else had this happen to them before??
