Appetizer (smoked salmon tartare aka funky smoked salmon) was a miss, even for my partner who loves smoked salmon. Salad had an added crunch I appreciated.
The main (fish) was super overcooked. Mostly tasteless rubber but the side was decent.
The real star was the cheesecake! A really nice blend of tart and sweet. Couldn't resist multiple bites before taking a pic (don't blame me, I was hungry!). A step up from the tasteless tiramisu IMO.
Sadly this was yet another "dessert OR cheese OR fruit" kind of flight.
This is not a long haul. Service just like transcons No champagne on that flight. As the menu you posted shows, BTW.
As to fish being grossly overcooked, welcome to the current normal. Not just fish, pretty much everything, the way service worked. Put everything in the oven and get things out to distribute. Usually much longer than the dish is designed for by the caterer. "New" normal since staffing was reduced some years back.
As to cheese or fruit or dessert, I believe you are wrong, most likely cheese if you want some and then fruit or dessert. Which is what the menu shows, BTW. But yes, they bring all three items together. Which makes it easy to make the assumption you made.
