MARCOPIZZAIOULO makes a very good point about being safe in Naples. My wife and I were on a flight from London to Naples 12 or so years ago. We ended up talking with a Neapolitan who lived in London on the plane and he was very down on us visiting Naples warning us about crime, not wearing jewelry, being careful about handbags/backpacks (don't carry them on the street side as drive by motorcylists can easily snatch them), keep windows up sitting in a car so things don't get snatched out of it... On that trip, we were only picking up a rental car at NAP and driving to Amalfi so his warning had little impact at the time. That said, all good points for how to take care in cities that have a street crime problem.
