Also, I think it's best practice to notify them upon arrival or further in advance if you do require a later checkout, so they can do their room planning accordingly. Keep in mind, these are very large rooms, suites or casitas to clean. Ideally, they are draining the plunge pool, sanitizing and refilling it.

There's a lot more going on in those pools than just nakedness. Given their size, you are right, they are probably chemically treating the water. I recall now those pools have a filtration system, if that's what the water treatment system is called. The Conrad Tulum drains and sanitizes their pools between guests. But theirs are perhaps a third of the size.
