To start with the good.

Amazing service from the staff. Received all the benefits as a Marriott Titanium member and even received an upgrade from the 2 queen room to a suite when asking the front desk via chat in the Marriott app. This is above and beyond service as Aloft doesn't include complimentary upgrades as part of the Marriott Bonvoy benefits.

Great location conveniently located to most of the major locations in the Silicon Valley area close to Fremont, San Jose, Palo Alto.

Some of the cons include extremely dated rooms that don't fit the modern brand standard that Aloft is known for. This was a rebadged W at one point with minimal renovations done and it's showing its age. The suite we were upgraded to had 2 bathrooms, the 1 bathroom near the main living area had a slightly leaky toilet that would leak some water every 15 minutes making a small flushing noise. Shower was adequate but extremely small. Door between bathroom and main living area was scratched and dinged in multiple spots.

The "2-bedroom" suite also didn't have a door to separate the bed in the main living area which didn't give a lot of privacy. It would have been infinitely better with the same space to have a physical divider between the living room and the first bed. Having 2 bathrooms is very nice however.

As a titanium member, chose the breakfast instead of the points for a welcome gift and it's extremely disappointing. Only the "continental" breakfast is included and it's a piece of toast with jam/butter on the side and a plate of fruit and yoghurt. I've seen Courtyards with better breakfast than this. Many of the other Alofts across the U.S. I've been to allow you to select one real hot cooked-to-order food item and one barista hand crafted beverage which I would think would be the bare minimum.

Prices are extremely reasonable with the lull in business travel but I wouldn't personally stay here again unless I needed to be in this area.
