I believe bassinets are only opened up to the sprogless a few days before the flight so I'd say there's a high chance that it has been occupied by someone with kids given it's still a week out.
Yeah that was my understanding too.
Ok, moved us to the front cabin (which seems not to have bassinets). We are no longer seated together but that's preferable to babies.
