The refurbished lobby is due to open next week. Managed a peek from the pool area and it looks very nice and in-keeping with the room redesign. The refurbished rooms are great and I can see that the hotel should continue to be a good bet for downtown Cairo. NB From what I could see, some floors are still being refurbished, with netting over the windows visible on the lowest four floors. But I expect that between the lobby and the refurbished floors most visitors will not notice that the upgardes are still ongoing.
