We're looking for 5 seats, which makes this much more difficult. Back in my days as a solo traveler, it would have been no problem to jump on whatever flight I could find, but traveling with a family is a lot more complicated! We were able to get on a flight connecting through LHR for this evening, which is probably the best out of a lot of not-great options. I'm hugely grateful to the agent who did her best to find us this arrangement, but I'm still very frustrated with United as a company for not giving their people the ability to at least give some sort of perk to smooth all of this over a bit. Honestly, I would be happy if they just gave us the pillow, blanket and amenity kit from PE (though I'm sure this isn't possible logistically).
