In areas with honest or strict taxi systems I extensively use taxis (Singapore, Taiwan, Tokyo etc) so really drivers who refuse to follow the regulations are hurting themselves overall by forcing customers to use alternatives like Uber/Grab. But is a taxi system, where in particular white foreigners or other foreign newbies at the normal airport taxi queue are lured to a Benz or Bentley (with much higher fares) like in Singapore, a role model for honesty?
