There's a place in the app to request it. I used it and have one. Sometimes Lufthansa dragons want to see the card even when your boarding pass says A3*G before they admit you to the dizzy heights of their Senator Lounges - which these days are just like their business lounges only more crowded.
As an A3*G in LH Y, I have found it interesting that LH provides me fast track security screening at outstations and other Star Alliance airline lounge access without issue where the boarding passes are to be scanned and yet when getting to LH hub Senator Lounges, LH may repeatedly reject my LH and UA boarding passes showing A3*G status and instead ask to be shown my A3*G card. My A3*G Apple Wallet digital card usually works at the LH hubs.
