The new airport CEO was recently interviewed. Supposedly he wants to dramatically improve the experience by 2026, but it would be impossible to do any new construction by then. As for a master plan, there is supposed to be a revised one coming out next year.
but of course an airport master plan update isn't needed to renovate some existing square footage of interior lounge space into a different lounge. We're not talking about enlarging the terminal concourse footprint or building something new in order to finish what AA "started."
Did they start? Did they gut the lounge? I get it that there's not enough int'l service at PHL right now to make this be that important, but it sucks to have the lounge be in limbo so long.
