So I went to Rimowa in downtown MUC who replaced the wheel on the spot free of charge as the suitcase was still under warranty. 🤷‍♂️
Thank you Oliver that actually sounds like a much more tempting option now. (would they really replace the Mrs' brand new Rimowa case with some cheap plastic? Surely they wouldn't dare!)

Will see if there's any shop in the UK which can handle it, whether under warranty or not.
