I'm a TrueBlue member and booked a round-trip JetBlue flight on a Blue fare getting into Lima from the US Dec. 25 and returning to the US in early January. Because of the civil unrest, etc., in Peru, I'd like to cancel my flights (for those not following, Cusco airport is closed, Machu Picchu closed, protests in downtown Lima, etc.).
My two questions are:
(1) do I have any hope of getting a full refund (as opposed to JetBlue credit) from JetBlue, especially in light of the fact that the US Dep't of State has not (yet) issued a do not travel advisory? Their travel alert page just lists a fee waiver policy for flights between Dec. 14 and 16 and not later date (and doesn't even list refund as an option):
https://www.jetblue.com/travel-alert...est-fee-waiver
(2) If I only get JetBlue credit and decide to book new flights to a different destination, is it correct that that credit can only apply to flights with JetBlue or American Airlines?
Thanks!
