As it is quite likely that I do 6000 HONPoints in one year but not 600,000 HON miles in one year, I might not use a lot of LHG for all of 2023 and then go full in on LHG in 2024. In 2023, I'd take care of my AFKL Ultimate status (although that's already 80% in the pocket and still a year to go), and BA Gold. M&M just gave me the reason not to fly with LHG a lot in 2023.

I think the other option is:

Earn whatever you can earn in 2023 which will be converted to HP if that’s not enough to qualify alone in 2023, you have 2024 but combine 2023 and 2024, you must earn 12,000HP to be extended to Feb 2027 (from Feb 2025).
