I mean every now and then SQ has managed to surprise us, but I'd go with SMK77's hunches here. I'm not sure SQ wants to wait till 2025 (if even then) to show the world the new Biz seat so a sub-fleet like the A350 ULR makes for a manageable goal in the shorter run and is serving the longest flights nonstop - would make sense to me and a good "test" for overall pax feedback on the new seat.
