Depending on where you are staying and how rural the address is they will be able to deliver.
Switzerland can be quite rural too.

(I have found the ba tracking app quite good at knowing when the bag is due to be delivered. I once had an incident with an overnight in GLA and a bike that misconnected in LHR. It arrived as promised on the first flight in GLA in time for me to check it in back to LHR and on to YUL)
Great information, thank you very much! I did file a claim with Danata, and impressed myself with my ability to do this entirely in French, despite the fact that I haven't used my French in 3 months, plus I was very jet lagged and almost comatose at this point in the journey :-)
