Picked up this evening due to flight cancellation from the storm. Thankfully I made a reservation yesterday (thank you EE status!) just in case this happened. Tonight at 9:30 was pick your color Charger, Challenger, Camry or Altima. Some (maybe 2 or 3 of the dozen Chargers they had) were GT AWD models, which might work for some in a pinch.

Everyone was running around the snowy lot looking at the few small SUV’s (escape, CX5, Tucson, sportage) for an AWD badge. I went down one side and spotted an Explorer at the end of the Exec aisle. It is a limited with AWD. Made me happy after a long day of disappointments and got me to dinner and the hotel for the night.

When I checked out the guy was very friendly, but asked twice that I wasn’t going to one-way the Explorer since it was AWD. I pointed out I had a one day reservation since I’m catching a rebooked flight tomorrow, and he backed off a bit after that.
