I have the same question and I believe that once the ticket is issued and you already add the Works package, it will remain on the ticket because Frontier's systems are old. They don't refresh status or anything like that so maybe when your boarding pass is issued, you won't have the status on it at the top but you should still have the Works packaged attached to the reservation. I will be betting on this as I had 100K elite and dropped down to 20K elite this year and will be booking a bunch of POSSIBLE flights for Jan and Feb and will plan to cancel if I change my plans. We'll see. This airline is such a hassle in everyway but these cheap prices with a free bag and stretch seating are super hard to complete with if you are willing to put up with some of their crap, which I am I guess.
