And when AA introduces their new A 321 equipment next year with all direct aisle access, a number of us are likely to go back to AA. Meantime, my understanding is that DL is going to retire their 767's and introduce similar A321s, so the competition will be more even, in which case price and service will become even more relevant, and if UA continues to operate at least some 787s and 777s on the transcontinental route, the competition is going to become even tougher. Or at least one hopes!
It's the Flight Attendants. Either they are new or they are influenced, in a bad way, by those Flight Attendants who became Senior after the large amounts of retirements during CoVid-19. Look at the Business Class fare from ATL to LAS, a 3 hour and 40 minute flight on average and you're luck to have two drink services in Business Class. So, they're right, I stopped paying and now I either purchase basic Economy where my expectations are to expect nothing or I went over to Spirit and paid the $200 for the BIG Front Seat and still saved over $1k versus Delta. Flyer Talk convinced me to expect nothing and be grateful that you arrive safely on Delta. Keep Climbing Delta!
